Marine Street Beach
Marine Street Beach is near the upscale community of La Jolla, where there is a small group of high-end hotels, shops, clothing shops and galleries. The beach features thunderous waves, which makes it legendary to both body boarders and body surfers. The beach is not very family-friendly, as there are no public restrooms or picnic areas and the rough surf is not well suited for children.

The Marine Street offers privacy and white sand. Rough waves at the beach have been known to cause serious injury to body boarders and swimmers. Inexperienced swimmers need to respect the water conditions here.
Lifeguards are stationed during the summer and on peak weekends during the fall and spring.
Parking
Plan to park on the street at Marine Street Beach since there are no public lots. Get there early to find a space, especially in the summer and weekends all year long.
