Swami Beach
A popular local surfing beach in Encinitas, Swami’s Beach has fantastic waves located below Seacliff Roadside Park. Most mornings and evening you can see surfers coming in at a steady stream to find a wave since Swami’s holds a reputation for having some of the best waves on the San Diego coastline.
Swami’s Beach changes constantly. Not just twice a day for tides, but daily changes of storm surf, sea weed, rocks, sand movement, red tide, currents, wind direction and strength and erosion of the cliffs. Low tides will unveil hidden treasures (see photo) exposing algae-covered rocks.

The beach includes a parking lot, public restrooms, picnic tables, a sandy beach and a very scenic area. Alcohol isn’t permitted, dogs are prohibited and no glass containers can be used at Swami’s.
Lifeguards are present between 10am to 6pm during the Summer (late June to Labor Day).
Parking
Parking is quite limited, more son during the summer months and during the weekends. Beach Parking is available from 5am to 10pm.
